Minor fire in Delhi Metro office

A fire broke out in a Delhi Metro office in south Delhi this morning but no one was injured in the incident, fire brigade officials said.

The blaze was reported at around 7:10 AM from the third floor of the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) building on Lodhi Road housing the DMRC office.

Twenty-two fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused by 9 AM.

The fire engulfed the entire floor housing the Delhi metro office but no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained but a short circuit is suspected to be the cause.
 

A DMRC spokesperson said there no "significant damage" due to the incident.
