Minor girl among two killed in road mishaps

A 10-year-old girl was killed in central Delhi when a speeding tempo hit the scooter her grandfather was riding, police said today.

The incident took place on DB Gupta Road last night and the victim has been identified as Jiah.

She had come to DBG road with her grandfather. The impact of the collision was so severe that she was thrown off the scooter.

Tempo driver Sanjeev Kumar (30) was arrested though he tried to flee from the spot.

In another case, a 44-year-old driver was killed on last evening in Outer Delhi's Sultanpuri when his three-wheeler turned turtle. It was not clear whether he was hit by another vehicle.
 

The deceased has been identified as Kesar.
