Minor girl held captive and sexually abused, 'lover' held

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly held captive and sexually abused for three days by her 'lover', police said today.

Police said the victim, resident of Mettupalayam area, was rescued and handed over to her parents and the man, said to be her lover, had been taken into custody.

The victim, whose father is a plumber, was reported missing since June 9 and a complaint lodged with police in this regard.

Acting on a tip-off that a man had brought a girl and kept her in house here for the last three days, police searched the house of Sivaraj and rescued the girl last night.
 

The girl, who would be subjected to a medical test, was handed over to her parents this morning, police added.
