An eight-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her uncle in Hafeezganj area here, police said today.
The girl was lured by Rajendra (25), her mother's brother, on pretext of giving sweets and molested her late last evening, they said.
On the complaint of victim's family members, an FIR was lodged, police said, adding the accused has been arrested.
The victim has been sent for medical examination, they said.
