Minor girl raped in Hazaribagh

A minor girl was raped allegedly by a youth, Shankar Yadav, at Dumalah village in Hazaribagh district, police sources said today. The father of the 12-year-old victim lodged an FIR accusing the 26-year-old man of taking his daughter to his house yesterday on the pretext of teaching her and then allegedly raped her, Sub-divisional Police officer, Barhi, Binod Kumar Sinha said here. The youth who had fled when neighbours rushed to his house after hearing the victim's cries, was arrested today by policemen in mufti, Sinha said. The girl was sent for medical examination.
