Two minor girls, who were abducted from Sikkim to be sold here, were rescued today and a couple was arrested in this connection in Surjapur area, police said.
The girls, aged 13 and 14, were traced through electronic surveillance after police received an input that they were brought here for sale, Circle Officer Arun Kumar Singh said.
The abductors Sabir and his wife Nagma were arrested, he said, adding the couple used to abduct the girls from Northeast states to sell them in NCR.
Sikkim police has been informed about the girls, police said.
