attacked a 13-year-old girl and allegedly outraged her modesty in Gola Kotwali area here this morning, police said.
The Gola police has registered a rape case in this connection.
Efforts were on to identify the culprit and arrest him, police said, adding that the girl has been sent to the district hospital for medical examination.
The incident took place when the girl, who had gone to graze her goats in the fields on the outskirt of the village, was dragged by the youth into a sugarcane field and allegedly raped.
When the girl screamed for help, the youth fled.
