The victim went to the primary school in morning but didn't return home. Later, her semi-naked body, soaked in blood, was recovered from the jungle, police said.
According to the postmortem report, the girl was strangled to death after the rape.
A complaint has been registered against the unidentified person by the victim's father, police said, adding, few youths from the village has been taken into custody for interrogation.
