A five-year-old girl succumbed to her internal injuries today after she was raped allegedly by her neighbour, police said.
The child was raped by the neighbour, Bablu, who lured her on the pretext of giving her a toffee during a marriage ceremony in Naukhel locality last night, they said.
Bablu fled when the girl started crying.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, which referred her to the Aligarh Medical College where she passed away today, police said.
An FIR has been lodged against the accused and efforts are on to nab him.
