A minor girl was allegedly raped by a man at Bowbazar area of Kolkata here, police said today.
The six-year-old girl was raped by Mohammed Irshad in an abandoned bathroom of Bowbazar area yesterday, police said.
After the girl raised an alarm, the accused fled from the spot, but later he was arrested, they said.
Initial medical reports have suggested scars in the private parts of the minor.
