The seven-year-old girl was playing outside her house in Sunder Nagar area in Chohatan town yesterday when accused Anil Soni took her to a nearby deserted house on the pretext of buying her a toffee, they said.
According to Police, Soni raped the girl and fled after leaving the victim there, adding the minor managed to reach her house where her parents came to know about the rape.
"We received the complain about the incident last night and registered an FIR. The victim was hospitalised and a medical test was conducted by a medical board," a police official said.
The accused was held and placed under arrest today. He is being interrogated, police said.
