A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Ailau village where she had come to attend a marriage ceremony, police said today.
The girl went missing late on Friday night from the ceremony in the village. Her body was found near the venue yesterday morning, they said.
The victim's father lodged an FIR against unidentified persons at Ailau police station.
Police said they were awaiting post-mortem report to confirm the assault, adding that no arrests have been made so far.
