A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a juvenile in Balasore district, police said today.
The incident happened on Friday at Matial Pada village under the jurisdiction of Khaira police station, the police said.
The minor girl was alone at home when the 16-year-old accused, who was known to her, entered her house and raped her, a police officer said.
The girl's mother lodged a complaint with the police today, the officer said.
The accused has been apprehended and both of them (the girl and the boy) were sent for medical examination, the Inspector-in-Charge of Khaira police station, Lopamudra Nayak, said.
The juvenile was booked under various sections of IPC and POCSO Act, she said.
