On the orders from Headquarters Northern Command, divers from Special Forces moved to Dungar village in Kathua, where a minor had drowned in the nullah yesterday, defence spokesman at Northern Command said today.
After four hours of intense search in zero visibility conditions, the team was able to recover the body which was later handed over to the family in presence of civil administration.
Yesterday, the police along with the locals made several attempts to recover the body but in vain following which, the civil administration approached the army for assistance. PTI AB KAS
