A minor stampede today broke out at a sacred pond under Bhelupur police station here when a large number of people gathered there for a holy dip.
While eyewitnesses said six people, mostly women, were injured, police denied it.
It is believed that if a woman takes a dip in the Lolark Kund, dedicated to the Sun God, she is blessed with a child.
SP (City) Sudhakar Yadav said the situation was normal.
