Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq today said he has now completely recovered from calf muscle injury and is solely focussed on preparing for the tour of England in July-August.

"I am looking forward to playing in the Pakistan Cup one-day championship in Faisalabad from tomorrow and have also told the Pakistan Cricket Board that I want to go with the Pakistan A team to England in May. The idea is to test myself physically and also prepare for the Test series in England in July-August," said Misbah.

The 42-year-old, who retired as the ODI captain last year after the World Cup, said he would like to oversee the team's transition phase before he quits Test cricket.

"I just want to ensure now that I am there to oversee the transition period and the team is settled even when I eventually go. I decided I want to go to England because our Test team is settled and experienced and I want to ensure it remains that way even when I retire and when the new captain takes over from me," said Misbah.

Misbah said his future plans depended on his form and fitness.

Meanwhile, welcoming the appointment of Inzamam-ul-Haq as the new chief selector, Misbah said: "Inzamam is a cricket icon and commands a lot of respect and understands the game. I am sure he will live up to the expectations of the Pakistani cricket lovers.
