Miscreants damage bus sheds, deface photographs

Miscreants damaged a number of bus sheds at Kalyani town in Nadia district and also defaced the photographs of many important personalities kept in the bus sheds, police said today.

Local people found that bus sheds at No 2 Market, Central Park and Experimental School vandalised and photographs of famous personalities like Aurobindo, Netaji Subash Bose, Surendranath Bandopadhyay and Ashutosh Mukhopadhyay which was hanged in the bus sheds defaced.

Around 23 cars which were parked at different places in Kalyani town were damaged and their windscreens broken according to Nilimesh Roy Chowdhury, Chairman of Kalyani Municipality.

Roy Chowdhury said miscreants who had damaged the bus sheds also damaged the cars.
 

Roy Chowdhury said he had lodged a complaint with the police regarding the vandalisation of the bus sheds, defacement of the photographs and damage to cars.
