In a daring burglarly, miscreants today looted 75 sovereigns of gold ornaments worth about Rs 15 lakhs and Rs.Two lakh in cash from a house here while the inmates were sleeping on the terrace to beat the summer heat, police said.
Noticing that the house owner, Ibrahim, and his family members were sleeping on the terrace, the miscreants gained entry after breaking the view glass near the door and decamped with the valuables in the wee hours.
The theft was noticed around 8 AM by the inmates who informed police.
