Miscreants steal man's car on pretext of asking directions

A gang of miscreants stole a person's car here after stopping it on the pretext of asking directions, police said today.

Anil Madaan was travelling from Gurgaon to Faridabad yesterday night when some miscreants stopped him near a petrol pump to ask for directions, they said.

The gang then assaulted the victim, pushed him out of his car and fled with his vehicle, police said.

Madaan had registered a complaint in this regard.

Police said that a case has been lodged and the matter is being investigated.

Meanwhile, in another incident a woman and her one-year-old child were killed yesterday after the scooter in which they were travelling was hit by an unknown vehicle, police said today.
 

In a similar incident, an elderly man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in NH 2 area of the city yesterday, police said.

In another incident, a man died yesterday in Milan Vatika area here after being run over by a truck.

Police said that complaints had been registered in all three cases and investigations are underway.
