Congress legislature party member Manas Bhuniya today said CPI(M) member and Leader of the Opposition Surjya Kanta Mishra was the "favoured Opposition Leader of the ruling party".
"The CPI(M) is having 39 members and the Congress 40," he told reporters in the Assembly premises here, adding the rules of the Assembly clearly state the party with the second highest number of members would be given the status of the Opposition.
"But it seems that Mishra is the favoured Leader of the Opposition of the ruling party," he said.
