Body of a faculty member of the premier Cotton College, who went missing 10 days ago, was recovered today from the bank of Brahmaputra river in the city, police said.
The body of Bhagaban Goswami was found just behind the old.
DC Bunglow and it was stuck in a water pumping tool, they said.

"We cannot tell immediately whether it is a case of suicide or a murder. We have sent the body for post-mortem. One thing is clear, there is no external injury mark on the body," an official said.
Goswami, head of the History department, had gone missing on January 4 from the North East Book fair in the city.
He was dropped by his son at the book fair and reported missing ever since.
