A 15-year-old boy, who went missing from the national capital in February this year, has been found in Punjab by a team of the Anti Human Trafficking Unit of the Crime Branch, police said today.

Police said the boy, a resident of Kirari area here, had been missing from his house since February 20, 2014.

A case of kidnapping was registered at the Aman Vihar police station of Outer District in this regard.

On Auguest 1, the investigation of the case was transferred to the Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Crime Branch.

"Police conducted a meticulous investigation and was able to locate the boy at Amritsar in Punjab," said a senior police official.
 

"The boy said he left his house because his parents had scolded him. He said he went to Punjab on his own. The boy has been given back to his parents," the official said.
