An Indian-origin boy, missing from his home in the UK for five days, has been found safe and well.

Jaspreet Khun Khun, a 12-year-old schoolboy from Walsall, was found at a family member's home in Southampton, on the south coast of England.

He had failed to return home from school on March 5 launching a search operation by local Walsall police, the 'Birmingham Mail' reported.

Detective Constable Joanne Myatt-Jones said: "Thankfully Jaspreet has been found safe and well, some miles away in Hampshire. We want to thank everyone who has helped us with this missing persons inquiry."

The boy, who attends Aldridge school, has gone missing four times before over the past year - ending up as far away as London on one occasion.
