Dead body of a missing minor girl was found in the Jatpura village in Ailau area here, police said today.
The body of the 10 year-old-girl who went missing since last evening was recovered from a pond outside the village, they said.
Shiv Mangal of the same village was detained by the police in this connection, Superintendent of Police Srikant Singh said adding that rape was not ruled out at this stage.
The body of the girl has been sent for the post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
