An assistant engineer of Nashik Municipal Corporation, who had gone missing six days ago, was found in Pune, police said today.
A police team brought Ravindra Patil (43) to Nashik this morning and handed him over to his family, an official of the Gangapur Road police station said.
Police were yet to question him about his disappearance as he did not seem to be in the condition to speak at the moment, the official said.
Patil had left his home on the morning of May 26, informing his family that he was going to attend a citizen interaction program organised by the municipal commissioner.
A note, purportedly written by him, was found in his car, which said he was going to end his life due to work pressure. His wife lodged a complaint and police began a search.
Police tracked him down after Patil sent an email to his family members from a cyber cafe in Pune yesterday. He was found to be staying at a friend's house, the official said.
