A patient, missing since August one after admission to Malda Medical College, was found in a serious condition at an under construction structure within the hospital compound.
Hosopital sources said Suranjan Sarkar, who had been untraceable hours after admission for having consumed poison, was discovered with his hands-leg broken at the under construction site.
Sarkar, who could be extricated after fire services personnel demolished one portion of the construction has now been taken to the surgical ward, the sources said.
Surgical Superintendent M S Rashid said inquiries were on how he could land up from his ward to the building.
