The body of a missing woman was found on railway tracks near Jadavpur station by the Government Railway Police, prompting the police to start an investigation.

The husband of the 39-year-old woman complained to the police that the she had committed suicide failing to cope with mental torture at the KS Roy and TB Hospital where she was a nurse, DC South Suburban Division (SSD) Badana Varun Chandra Sekhar said.

The husband of the woman, whose body was recovered yesterday, a resident of Ibrahimpur Road Government Housing under Jadavpur Police Station, alleged that before "committing suicide", she had sent him a voice message (audio text message) holding a couple of officials of the hospital for mentally torturing her and unable to cope with that she took the drastic step.

"An initial investigation revealed that the woman was upset after she was transferred to another hospital recently. She had made several requests which were not entertained by the authorities. We are talking to officials of the hospital and her family members," he said.

The message received by the woman's husband was being examined, the officer said.
