Mission Indradhanush: Hr aims to immunise 2.5 lakh kids

The third round of Mission Indradhanush - Centre's scheme to provide vaccination against seven life-threatening diseases - started in all districts of Haryana from June 7 and will continue till June 13 with a target to immunise 2.5 lakh children.

"In last four days - from June 7 to 10, a total of 83,427 children have been vaccinated, a Health Department spokesperson said here today.

"In 9-11 months age group, 7,942 male and 6,500 female children were immunised and under 12-23 months age group, 2,765 male and 2,454 female children were immunised," he said.

"In all 21 districts of the state, 673 children were immunised in Ambala, 895 in Bhiwani, 1,330 in Faridabad, 507 in Fatehabad, 1,720 in Gurgaon, 599 in Hisar, 494 in Jhajjar," he added.
 

The state government said it had implemented Mission Indradhanush on April 7 as an intense drive for seven days in a month for four consecutive months to cover all the unimmunised and partially immunised children and pregnant women in 13 districts.

In the second round, it was expanded to all 21 districts of Haryana, the spokesperson said.

1,07,542 children were vaccinated in first round from April 7 to 13 and 1,78,629 children were vaccinated in second round from May 7 to 13, he said.
