Rahul Biswanath Karad, Executive President, MIT World Peace University, met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat yesterday and proposed to set up the school.

He told the chief minister that todays youth are quite reluctant to join politics and hardly consider it as a career option. The proposed school will also promote professional and ethical leadership among elected representatives at all levels and will ultimately strengthen democracy, it said.

He proposed the setting up of Odisha Institute of Political Leadership under the aegis of Odisha Legislative Assembly in association with MIT School of Government in Pune.
