The bandh was almost complete in Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Hamirpur, Una, Mandi, Kullu and others places and most of the shops remained closed but road and rail traffic was normal throughout the state.
The bandh was partial in Nurpur and adjoining areas of Kangra districts while the shops remained opened in villages at many places.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M) activists blocked traffic at Theog, Rampur, Rohroo, Shimla and some other places for about an hour but the bandh passed off peacefully with no untoward incident reported from any parts of the state.
