: Prices of urad dal moved up, while that of thoor dal, sugar and wheat moved down at the wholesale foodgrains market during the week ended here today.
Urad dal remained steady at Rs 13,700 till Wednesday and rose by Rs 100 per quintal on Thursday to close for the week at Rs 13,800.
Thoor dal opened for the week at its closing rate of Rs 13,800, ruled steady till Wednesday and fell steeply by Rs 300 per quintal on Thursday to Rs 13,500 and finished the week at this rate.
Sugar opened at its closing rate of Rs 3,450, fell on Thursday by Rs 50 per quintal and closed for the week at Rs 3,400.
Wheat opened for the week at its closing rate of Rs 3,000, decreased on Thursday by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 2,800 and closed for the week at this rate.
Moong dal (Rs 9,200), gram dal (Rs 5,800), maida (90 kg) (Rs 2,500) and sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,200 ruled steady throughout the week.
