Mixed trend prevailed on the opening day

Prices of urad dal and wheat was up and thoor dal, moong dal and sugar prices down and rest other commodities ruling steady in the wholesale foodgrain market.

Wheat was up by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 3,000 on opening day from its previous Rs 2,850.

Urad dal opened the week with an increase of Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 11,800 from its last week's closing of Rs 11,700.

Thoor dal was less by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 13,500 from its last closing rate Rs 13,800

Moong dal was sharply down by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 9,500 from Rs 9,900
 

Sugar was marginally down by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 2,750 from Rs 2,800.

Gram dal (Rs 6,400), Maida (90 kgs) (Rs 2,500) and Sooji (90 kgs) (Rs3,000) opened at the same closing rate.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 13,500, Urad Dal Rs 11,800, Moong Dal Rs 9,500, Gram Dal Rs 6,400, Sugar Rs 2,750, Wheat Rs 3,000 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
