Mixed trend prevails at commodities market

Prices of thoor dal and wheat moved up while those of moong dal, gram dal and maida came down at the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Rest all other commodities remained unaltered.

Thoor dal and wheat rose by Rs 200 and Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 7,700 and Rs 2,600 from its previous week's closing rate of Rs 7,500 and Rs 2,550, respectively.

Both moong dal and gram dal moved down by Rs 100 and Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 9,400 and Rs 3,900 from last week's closing rate of Rs 9,500 and Rs 3,950, respectively.
 

Likewise, maida (90 kg) came down by Rs 50 from Rs 2,450 to Rs 2,400.

Urad dal, sugar and sooji remained at the same rate.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,700, Urad Dal Rs 8,800, Moong Dal Rs 9,400, Gram Dal Rs 3,900, Sugar Rs 3,250, Wheat Rs 2,600, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,600.
