Mixed trend prevails at wholesale foodgrains market

Prices of thoor dal and moong dal increased while those of sugar and wheat decreased at the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Besides, prices of all other commodities ruled steady.

Moong dal price increased sharply by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 9,800 from Rs 9,500 earlier.

Thoor dal opened the day at Rs 9,000, gaining Rs 100 per quintal from its closing rates of Rs 8,900.

Sugar and wheat fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 2,700 and Rs 2,800 from its previous rates of Rs 2,800 and Rs 2,900, respectively.

Prices of urad dal, gram dal, maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) ruled steady.
 

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 9,000, Urad Dal Rs 8,400, Moong Dal Rs 9,800, Gram Dal Rs 4,800, Sugar Rs 2,700, Wheat Rs 2,800, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
