Mixed trend prevails in foodgrains market this week

Prices of urad dal and moong dal increased while that of urad dal and sugar decreased in the wholesale foodgrains market here in the week under review.

Opening the week at Rs 10,900, urad dal was up by Rs 300 per quintal from its previous closing rates of Rs 10,600 and closed the week at its opening rates of Rs 10,900.

Moong dal closed the week at Rs 10,800, an increase of Rs 200 per quintal from its previous closing rate of Rs.10,600.

Gram dal closed the week at Rs 6,400, an increase of Rs 200 per quintal from its last closing rate of Rs 6,200.
 

Sugar (90 kg) was down sharply by Rs 30 at Rs 2,750 from its previous rate of Rs 2,780.

Prices of Thoor dal (Rs 10,800), wheat (Rs 3,000), maida (Rs 2,500) and Sooji (Rs 3,000) ruled steady throughout the week.
