Mixed trend prevails in market

Price of thoor dal increased while that of urad dal, gram dal and sugar decreased and those of all other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.

Opening at the same rate of Rs 7,900 thoor dal price rose on Wednesday by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 8,100 to close the week at Rs 8,100.

Urad dal price fluctuated as its price increased on Monday by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,600 to come down on Wednesday by Rs 400 per quintal and finish the week at Rs 7,200.

Opening the week at Rs 3,950, gram dal price fell on Wednesday by Rs 100 per quintal and closed the week Rs 3,850.
 

Similarly sugar also opened the week at its closing rate of Rs 3,150 to fall on Wednesday by Rs 50 per quintal to finish the week at Rs 3100.

Moong dal (Rs 9,800), wheat (Rs 2,700), maida (Rs 2,500 (90 kg) and Sooji Rs 2,800 (90 kg) ruled steady throughout the week.
