Mixed trend prevails in the foodgrain market

: Price of gram dal decreased while that of sugar increased in the wholesale foodgrain market here during the week under review.

Opening the week at Rs.7,800 gram dal was down by Rs 200 from its closing rate of Rs 8,000 and was steady till today when its price fell by Rs 400 to finish this week at Rs 7,400.

Sugar opened the week at Rs 4,300, an increase of Rs 150 per quintal from Rs 4,150 and closed today at Rs 4,300.

Thoor dal (Rs 8,200), urad dal (Rs 9,200), moong dal (Rs 6,700), wheat (Rs 3,000), maida (90 kg)(Rs 2,700) and sooji (90 kg)(Rs.3,200) ruled steady throughout the week.
