Prices of thoor dal,urad dal,moong dal went up while that of gram dal,sugar,wheat and sooji decreased in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Urad dal, thoor dal and moong dal rose by Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 13,500, Rs 14,500 and Rs 10,500 from yesterday's rate of Rs 13,000, Rs 14,200 and Rs 10,300 respectively.
In contrast, Gram dal and wheat declined by Rs 100 and Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,300 and 2,950 from from yesterday's rate of Rs 6,400 and Rs 3,000.
In addition, Sooji (90 kg) moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 3,000 from Rs 3,050 and Sugar edged down by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,890 from Rs 2,900.
However, Maida (90 kg)(Rs 2,500) ruled steady in the market.
Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 14,500, Urad Dal Rs 13,500, Moong Dal Rs 10,500, Gram Dal Rs 6,300, Sugar Rs 2,890, Wheat Rs 2,950, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
