Mixed trend seen at foodgrain market

The prices of thoor dal,sugar and maida increased while that of wheat decreased in the wholesale foodgrain market here today.

Thoor dal rose by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 11,500 from its previous rate of Rs.11,200 and sugar moved up by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 2,550 from Rs 2,400.

Likewise, Maida (90 kg) went up to Rs 2,500 from Rs 2,400.

In contrast, wheat declined by Rs 50 to Rs 2,800 from its previous rate of Rs 2,850.

However, rest all other commodities ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 11,500, Urad Dal Rs 10,700, Moong Dal Rs 10,000 Gram Dal Rs 6,000, Sugar Rs 2,550, Wheat Rs 2,800, Maida (90 kg), Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
