Mizoram Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma today emphasised the need of the North Eastern Council (NEC) to focus on disaster management, health and livelihood in the region.
"NEC should focus on need-based approach and focus on disaster management, health and livelihood," he said in a meeting with the NEC member C K Das and its secretary Ram Muivah at the Council's secretariat here.
Other issues were also discussed at the meeting in which he was also briefed on the various initiatives undertaken by the council for the overall development of the Council.
