An engineering student from Mizoram was found dead with injuries on the body in Jhinjhana town of neighbouring Shamli district.
The victim was identified as Champkriyan, a B Tech student hailing from Mizoram, police said today.
The body with injury marks was found near his engineering college yesterday, according to Circle Officer Waseem Khan.
The body has been sent for postmortem and the victim's family in Mizoram has been informed, he said.
Police suspect that he met with a road accident.
Shamli is nearly 540 km from Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow.
