Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla today said hailed the Centre's demonetisation move, but said the common people are suffering a lot due to the government's unpreparedness.
Addressing ruling Congress party workers at the Congress Bhavan here, Lal Thanhawla said he personally supported demonetisation and the UPA government also had considered making the moves, but without causing immense hardships to the people.
"The UPA government fell when it was reconsidering the proposal," he said, adding the move was good for combating black money and counterfeit currency.
The NDA government was ill-prepared to implement demonetisation causing severe problem for the people, he added.
