Mizoram Finance Minister Lalsawta today expressed hope that he would present a full fledged budget in November as the estimates on scheme of financing for 2014-2015 was more or less known.
Mizoram was yet to have a regular budget for this fiscal as the Centre has scrapped the Planning Commission before it allocated the state annual plan outlay and Lalsawta sought vote-on-account twice since April.
In the Public Expenditure Review Committee meeting, Lalsawta said the scheme of financing for the state for the current fiscal has become clearer despite scrapping of the Planning Commission.
The meeting agreed to the continuation of austerity measures and strict control of wasteful non-Plan expenditure by curbing several expenses including excessive use of vehicles by government officials.
