Son of a Samajwadi Party MLA today died when his car rammed into a truck at Jalalpur locality on NH 24, police said.
Shailendra Jaiswal (30), son of SP MLA from Sitapur constituency Radheyshyam Jaiswal, was going to Lucknow from here when his Tavera car rammed into a truck while trying to overtake it in the Khairabad area, police said, adding that he died on the spot.
Jaiswal was accompanied by his driver and a gunner, who were also injured in the mishap, police said.
They have been admitted to the district hospital.
