Two sitting Congress MLAs today held AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad responsible for the ongoing dispute in the party in Odisha while the Disciplinary Committee of the OPCC served show cause notice to a party secretary over an incident.
Congress Chief Whip Taraprasad Bahinipati, MLA from Jeypore in Koraput district, blamed Hariprasad for differences between Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president and the Congress legislature Party (CLP).
"It is Hariprasad who should be held responsible for the mess in the party. Instead of resolving issues, he has been creating differences among leaders in Odisha," Bahinipati said.

Alleging that Hariprasad, who is in-charge of Odisha, has failed to resolve dispute in the party, Bahinipati said "He (Hariprasad) is giving wrong information to AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi."
The MLA also openly supported a group of NSUI activists who barged into Hariprasad's hotel room where he was holding a meeting with OPCC president Prasad Harichandan.
The student activists accompanied by PCC secretary Biswabhusan Das had yesterday barged into Hariprasad's hotel room and allegedly threatened him not to visit Odisha again as the AICC leaders allegedly did not pay due respect to senior Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, who died at a private hospital at New Delhi on Sunday night.
Another MLA Jogesh Singh also supported the NSUI activists
who shouted at Hariprasad at the hotel.
"This is unfortunate that Lulu'babu was not given due respect by senior leaders. I support the NSUI activists," Singh said adding "He (Hariprasad) should not be allowed entry into Odisha."
