MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir will now receive information about business to be conducted in the Assembly through email and SMS -- a move aimed at ensuring they are updated on a daily basis.
The step undertaken by the state Assembly and its IT wing would go a long way in ensuring smooth functioning of the budget session, an official spokesperson said today.
The Assembly Secretariat would also provide all the requisite information on its website, he said.
Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta, has commended the Assembly's IT wing for the initiative, he said.
