Congress today announced candidature for Nashik and Amravati Graduates constituencies for the Maharashtra Legislative Council Polls due in December.
While Sudhir Tambe is the party's nominee from the Nashik Graduates constituency, Sanjay Khodake has been nominated from the Amravati Graduates constituency, the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) said in a statement.
The tenure of the sitting members will be over on December 5. A total of 11 seats from Teachers, Graduates and Local Authorities constituencies are up for grabs.

Khodake had earlier served as officer on special duty (OSD) to late state Home Minister R R Patil and PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal. Later, he resigned from the post to join politics.
Currently, Nagpur University Teachers' Association leader B T Deshmukh represents the Amravati graduates constituency.
Tambe, who has been re-nominated by Congress, is a relative of former state Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat.
BJP has nominated Prashant Patil, a relative of Union MoS Subhash Bhamre for Nashik Graduates Constituency.
