MMC members discuss successful health schemes with officials

A delegation from the Public Health Committee of Mumbai Municipal Corporation today held discussions with the City Mayor and health officials on various ongoing successful schemes in the healthcare sector.

Led by Geeta Ajay Gawli, the committee discussed, among other things, the distribution of mosquito net and napkins to newborn babies and mothers in hospitals and blood testing centres, an official release said here.

The committee visited the maternity home run by the corporation and also discussed the segregation of garbage under Sunya project being implemented in ward 23, it said.

Mayor S M Velusamy, Corporation Commissioner, G Latha and top officials in the health department detailed about various schemes.
