MMTC Q2 net up 11 pc at Rs 11.63 cr

State-run mining and metals major MMTC today reported an 11.29 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 11.63 crore for the second quarter ended September on higher income from operations.

MMTC's net profit stood at Rs 10.45 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's total income from operations rose to Rs 3,671.05 crore, against Rs 1,437.03 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

However, its total expenses also increased to Rs 3,656.15 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 1,436.08 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

The company's scrip ended at Rs 84.85, down 3.69 per cent, on the BSE.
