(MNF) today launched its Socio-Economic Development Policy (SEDP) which would ensure that all the families have permanent livelihood.

Launching the SEDP, former chief minister and MNF chief Zoramthanga, told party workers that a financial assistance to the tune of Rupees three crore would be provided to each family.

Zoramthanga said that the party, if it comes to power in 2018 Assembly elections, would give priority to increase the production of rice, wheat, meat, edible oil and vegetables through the SEDP.

He said that the MNF, if voted to power, would utilise excavators and bulldozers to make flat lands into cultivable lands as the state has over 70,000 hectares of such land.

Crop insurance and price support would be provided for security of the farmers in the state, he added.
